Reaction to Blood Of The Dead leads to speculation about Easter egg

Two days before Black Ops 4 releases on PlayStation, Xbox and PC, Call of Duty decided to drop a new trailer for one of the four playable zombies maps. This comes as a surprise to most as for us in the UK it dropped at 8pm out of no where. People on twitter have been loosing there minds speculation on the easter eggs in the trailer and how it may link to The Giant in Black Ops 3

For people who don't know Alcatraz is the fan favorite 'Mob of The Dead' from Black Ops 2 but it is being re-imagined for Back Ops 4 and appropriately named 'Blood of The Dead'.
When I was watching the trailer with my friends my first reaction when they were showing the new cut scenes was how the game looks gruesome, more than before with the dead bodies handing and the zombie dragging itself along the floor. Fans on twitter and Reddit agree that this trailer has a depth and so many theory can come from the little snip it we have seen.

Here's a theory: during the Easter egg on Blood of the Dead Primis Richtofen dies and has to do some steps in afterlife. The other three escape and he's left trapped in Purgatory, instead of the Mob of the Dead crew. We collect Richtofen's blood to give to his Ultimus self.

The slow music gives it an emotional level which you wouldn't think in a mode where you kill zombies. Reddit user Zer0DotFive put it perfectly.
It will be interesting to see if there are hidden changes in the map like Der Reise. This map was re-made for Black ops 3 and changed to The Giant. To the casual fan this is just a remake but it has subtle difference to the original map like how it has changed from Germany to France. You control different characters and in Der Reise you just fight of hordes but in The Giant you are the 4 main characters in charge of killing Richtofhen to collect his blood for the future to help survive death while in the new compound.


Black ops 4 will have 3 maps on launch which will all be linked to one over arching story.
Now we just have to wait to see how all this plays out in the map and how this addition adds to the story and how long it takes people to work out the hidden Easter eggs and complete it.
Even though the game isn't out people are still speculating how it links to the older maps.
